Where each AI video tool documents each step

How the docs were searched

Each tool's own help centre, documentation, learning centre or official guides were listed from their sitemap or index, and the page that best serves each step was opened and read. The map records its title, a sentence from it and how it covers the step. As of 2026-09-25.

Fig. 1 The same four moves for every tool and every step.

1What counts as documentation

Written pages on the tool's own domain: help-centre articles, documentation, learning-centre guides and official guides, plus a product post where that is the only written account of a step. Videos, forums, reviews and other sites are left out.

2One page per step

When several pages fit a step, the one that walks through it most directly is chosen. A page counts as covering the step inside a wider page when the step is one section of a guide about something else.

Quotes are copied from the visible text of the page, not from its metadata, so a reader can find them on the page itself.

3What was left out

Some tools were not included because their help pages could not be read as text, or because their written help was limited to a short FAQ. A tool whose docs are behind a login is also left out, since a reader could not follow the link.

4How pages were classed

Classes used on the map, with how many step readings carry each.
ClassReadings
A page on this step112
Covered inside a wider page23
Only a troubleshooting page2
A page on a retired feature1
Not documented in the pages searched44

Inclusion rule. Every class used, including the gaps. Order. From the most direct to none.

Everything on the map is also in the data file.

5A generator's own guide on this

Set beside “How the docs were searched”, two passages from the guides SceneMixer publishes about its own pipeline:

SceneMixer turns a novel into a watchable short-drama series in one pipeline: upload the novel (Chinese or English) → AI extracts characters, scenes, and an episode-by-episode structure → generates consistent character and scene art → writes storyboard scripts → renders video segment by segment (16:9 by default, 9:16 in one setting) → composites full episodes.

It locks when you continue, because it shapes every character sheet, scene and video.

How the register is kept. The tables, counts and rankings on this site are computed by script from the register, and every figure links to the page it was read from, with the words quoted. No maker pays to be listed or to change a place, and each ranking states its rule, written before the places were computed. Entries are not edited at a maker's request: a figure that is out of date is fixed on the maker's own page and picked up when the pages are next read, at least every three months.
