Katalist adds a voiceover on the timeline and syncs it with images or video. Pictory adds an AI voiceover from the storyboard. Topview's AI Audio guide converts an input script into audio in several languages. FlexClip's text-to-speech tool offers a voice library and cloning.

A voiceover can be changed without touching the picture, which makes it the easier kind of speech to fix.

Lip movement is the limit: a voiceover suits narration and off-screen speech better than a close-up of a character talking.

Several of these tools let the voiceover be generated per scene, which keeps timing aligned with the cut.

Character sheets are always portrait and scene images always widescreen, whatever ratio the videos use.
