Where each AI video tool documents each step

Rankings of tools by what their help pages document

Three rankings sort the register's 26 AI video tools by what their help pages document: five steps of making an episode, four of finishing one, and all seven together. Eight tools lead the first, seven the second and seven the third, SceneMixer among them all. As of 2026-09-25.

Fig. 1 The table is a sorted count of documented steps, with equal counts sharing a place.

The first ranking picks five steps that every episode passes through, then checks each help centre for a page on each, counting a step when it has a page of its own or is explained within a wider page; the second picks four finishing steps and counts only pages of their own; the third takes all seven steps the register keeps. The register keeps the pages and the day they were read.

What it measures is documentation, which is a different thing from capability. A tool can do all five steps and document three, or document all five on thin pages, and the table treats the first as worse. The ranking page states the checklist, how ties are shown and what the count leaves out.

Where several tools tie, the table sorts them by name; that order carries no meaning. The quoted help pages under the table are the evidence for the first places, each with its address.

A tool is listed when its help pages document at least one of the five steps, and each row links to the tool's own site and to the register's page for every step it earned.

1The rankings

  • Documented episode making — Five steps of making an episode, from a script to one changed shot, counted by what each help centre documents.
  • Documented finishing — Four finishing steps, each counted when a help centre gives it a page of its own.
  • Guides for every step — All seven steps of making a video, from a script or prompt to sharing, counted by what each help centre explains.

Rows are tools whose help centres were searched; how the docs were searched explains what counts as documented, and the making steps hold every page found.
