Elements: saved characters, places and props

Elements are saved subjects, a character, a location or a prop, with reference images, that a tool applies whenever the element is named in a prompt. From 4 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Four tools on the map use the word. Kling AI's Element Library remembers characters, items and scenes from multi-angle reference images. Krea's elements bundle up to eight reference images with written guidelines and are called with @. LTX Studio's Elements are tagged by name in any prompt and applied across every scene. Adobe Firefly's define a subject, character or object once for use across projects.

The idea is the same in each: define a subject once and reuse it, instead of describing it again in every prompt.

Elements differ from a one-off reference image in that they persist. A reference guides one generation; an element is kept for the next.

For a series, an element per recurring character is the nearest thing these tools offer to a cast list.

1From the pages themselves

Simply upload multi-angle reference images, and AI will remember your characters, items, and scenes.

Kling AI quickstart

Save a character, location, or object as an element with reference images and guidelines, then mention it with @ in Seedance Studio for consistency.

Krea documentation

By creating your Element once and easily tagging it by name in any prompt, LTX Studio will apply it consistently across every scene and generation.

LTX Help Center

Elements let you define and reuse consistent subjects, characters, or objects across your projects.

Set beside “Elements”, two passages from the guides SceneMixer publishes about its own pipeline:
