Version history: going back to an earlier state
Version history keeps earlier states of a project or video, so a change can be compared with what came before and undone. From 2 source pages, read 2026-09-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Synthesia's article explains how versions are created, restored and updated after publishing. Kapwing's page describes Version History as the way to save a project by hand, beside its automatic backups.
For fixing one shot, version history is the safety net: a change that goes wrong can be rolled back.
It does not replace regenerating a single shot; it makes experimenting less risky.
Where a tool has neither, the only record of an earlier take is a download made before the change.
Synthesia's article also covers what happens to a video that has already been published when a new version is made, which matters once an episode is out and a correction is needed.

2A generator's own guide on this
Set beside “Version history”, two passages from the guides SceneMixer publishes about its own pipeline:
The new name is written everywhere the old one stood: storyboard lines, episode titles and summaries, the scene lists and already-parsed dialogue.

Doubao Seed 2.1 Turbo is the tier every account uses for text work until you change it: it reads the script, writes with AI when you ask, and generates each episode’s storyboard, at 50% of the base text rate.
